Companies included are those that raised new private funding rounds in 2014, analyzed via regulatory filings. In total, the top 15 companies raised their valuations in 2014 by over $43 billion, jumping on average about 4.5x higher than their previous valuation.

This is the company’s fourth funding round. Previous funding includes a $6.85 million friends and family round in January, 2012; a $17 million Series A in July, 2012; a $40 million Series B in May, 2013; and a $150 million Series C in February, 2014; all according to VC Experts and WeWork.
Palantir Raises $50 Million Of Reported $400 Million Round

However, new documents unearthed by VC Experts, which were filed in late November, show Palantir authorizing $400 million of a new series of preferred stock. We asked VC Experts if the new Form D, which indicates the company has now raised $50 million, is likely part of this larger $400 million round, and they believe it is. It’s unclear what Palantir’s valuation will be if it closes on the $400 million because there are still too many outliers, VC Experts tells us. But they say the new round is priced higher than the previous one.
